My first House

Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I was on here last since I've been crazy busy. I wanted to give everyone here at BP a big thank you for motivating be to buy my first property. Seven months ago was the first time I had ever talked to a realtor and now I'm a property owner. Buying a home these days, especially in southern CA can be, and was, a headache but reading about all the success stories on BP helped me keep on the path.

...64 days to close escrow, HOA unwilling to fix section 1 termite damage (still have to go to court for this one), dealing with VA appraisals and financing, properties selling for $40k over asking price, properties with accepted offers in under a week....

All circumstances that had to be negotiated but were eventually overcome.

Thanks again everyone and I look forward to building a relationship with you all.

-Mike

@Michael Johnson

congratulations on your new investment. Usually, the first cut is the deepest (apologies Rod Stewart :). I do expect that subsequent transactions will be smoother as you apply your experience from the first property..

Happy investing!
