Dewinterization issue- can seller be held responsible for improper dewinterisation?
Just closed a deal on a foreclosed property.
I learned that the property was vacant for more than couple of years and was not winterized properly. My plumber warned me that there might be a bumpy ride ahead since winterization was not done properly. Water meter is also leaking and City will charge for the replacement.
I am not worried about few hundred dollars but concerned about major issues which per my plumber, in worst scenario could cost more than $10K.
Having said that I was wondering if I can help buyer responsible for improper winterization?? What are my options ?
Will appreciate feedback from seasoned BP members....
Thanks,
