Multiple Property Investments Over Time
Investment Info:
Industrial commercial investment investment.
A multitude of industrial, retail, and a couple of residential rentals. At this point, I have divested all my real estate holdings except one mid-term residential rental.
What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?
As a real estate broker, I listed, sold, and represented buyers of properties. I had a lot of information about available properties and worked with partners to put the deals together. My initial interest in RE began when General Electric Company transferred me to NC, MA, & CO and I rented out the home I had in Ohio for several years.
How did you add value to the deal?
I was always good at math and making the numbers work.
What was the outcome?
Eventually, I sold the Ohio property and began investing in CO. At this point in my life, my goal is to help other investors minimize taxes, increase cash-flow, and leverage assets.
Lessons learned? Challenges?
Keep your properties in good condition and you are far less likely to lack tenants in good times or bad.
