Looking at STR in Austin Learning Resources

Hello, I am trying to learn as much as I can about short term rentals. I am looking to buy my first STR in the Austin area and am looking for the best resources about getting starting, analyzing properties for this strategy, and how to maximize my profits. Any articles, videos, podcasts, blogs or other resources on the topic would be much appreciated.

Hi Zander, congrats and best of luck with your deal.  I'm a long-time Austinite and love the place.

One thing to keep in mind (this one is obvious, but I'll say it anyway)...Austin's zoning in general has been a big story lately and regarding STRs in particular.  Be careful about what's allowed where and with what permits, fees, insurance, taxes, etc. etc. apply.
