Long Personal Post: would really Appreciate it if you Read this.
Hey, I just turned 20 year old and have been trying to learn as much as he can for the last year. I’ve read books, flown for events, even purchased one program. Thing is, I feel stuck and just downloaded the BP app to share this.
Recently, I saw an ad that led me to this meeting of investors who are affiliated with Renatus( Yes, I looked all over this forum about it and the previous company). They work locally here in South Florida, and that was what called my attention since I was looking for local investors to teach and lead me during my startup.
The group overall seemed pretty good, I approached them all individually and exchanged some nice words about my plans in the business. Ive continued to go to weekly meetings and property tours to see similar presentations all over again, but I just wanted to get more in touch with them. They market Renatus classes where the cheapest one is $2k, the basic Essential knowledge (which I heard i can find somewhere in here) and the investor group will only work with me if I purchase into that education. They say I can market that education to someone else for profit like a pyramid, but Im here to learn how to invest in real estate and create my business not sell someone else’s courses. These investors have access to contractors, cash buyers, software, and will aid me into creating my business entity(also website). I guess all investing groups have those.
Well, I kept in touch with them, but in the meanwhile I also approached my local Real Estate Association. So I drove there and talked to one of the mentors and saw a lot of value in the community. They hold multiple events and workshops with lots of possible networking for an entrance price. During my talk with the mentor he mentioned his mentoring program where he would provide me with funding, software, buyers, and mentor support($15k) . Help me set my corporation as a new investor and 50% split of deals that I do with him. He will pay for all rehab costs and inspectors if i get into the $28k program, plus walk with me to the sellers house to negotiate. All in all sounded very valuable, but costly.
My budget is around $15k, thats all i got. Im also working on my RE License right now to expand my field. Seeing myself with different options where I will have to put some or all my money on is making me take a decision. Im determined this is he path I chose and nothing will stop me, but I need to make a wise call.
What do the Experienced Investors think? I really appreciate your time. Thanks.
