What is a tax redemption?

Hello everyone! Im an Az resident working towards my first deal. This is my first post asking for help not wasting any time. I'm looking on the Treasurer's Office for tax delinquent properties and notice that on the tax summary, some will have "see redemption statement" for those that are a few years delinquent and are owing a few thousand on back taxes. How will this possibly affect my deal if at all? Sorry for the ignorance but I am new to this and trying hard to get the momentum rolling while gathering information and executing at the same time. Thanx in advance and appreciate your time!
