Local investor meet ups? Sarasota, Bradenton, St. Pete & Tampa

Hello everyone, so I'm relatively new to BP and have been listening to their podcasts which have been quite informative. I have a friend who is also a BP member and we were both wondering if there were any local meetups in the area for networking and socializing.  No, I'm not looking for the sponsored stuff where someone is pushing a service or product. I'm looking to connect with local investors to share ideas, talk about strategies, learn from and contribute to discussions that help people find success in this endeavor.  

Although I'm new to this and recently started working in the industry I believe I have a lot to contribute to the discussion based on my 30+ years as a leader and strategic planner for the US Army. 

If there isn't anything that is already in place my fellow BP member and I would be interested in getting a monthly meet up put together.  Looking for existing events or interest in establishing one.

@Stephen Aki Good morning, we’re also new to the industry and area. But I’ve found and met one person that has attended the Sarasota REIA events. They have both a website and Facebook page if you google them and host weekly and monthly events. I’m planning to attend one in the near future, so hopefully I’ll see you there!
