There are a TON of ways to find trades / contractors. The more you know the easier it will be.
Get an inspection done or have a property evaluation done by a pro. You will know what needs to be done (scope of work) and you can then get a general idea of what it will cost and how long it will take via google. It won't be exact but it will give you a dart board to toss at.
Then, send out your scope, timeline, budget to local trades instead of asking strangers to be honest with someone who doesn't know anything.
The more you know, the more success you have.
