NPR Article:NYC Homeless Girl Scout Leader Creating Opportunities

Hi All,

This is a classic lemonaid out of lemons story that could use a helping hand.  A NYC working mom with five kids lost her rental and is living in a shelter with her kids.  She was working with the Girl Scouts at the time, and used her situation to start a troop at her shelter and the concept has expanded across the city to other shelters.  According to the article, she is still looking for permanent home for her family.   She is still employed by the Girl Scouts (easily verified).

Just wondering whether someone might be in a position to help this family for mutual benefit?  I don't know anything more that what I read in the article.

I have a Sec 8 tenant in a very nice home and know it can work with the right parties involved, thus the thought to post...

Thanks for considering!
