Any Requirements to Attend REI Meeting?

Hi all,

I'm looking to start attending some local REI group meetings in SE Michigan and am curious if there are any written or unwritten rules in terms of experience or readiness to make a deal before one should consdier attending?

I assume it's expected that complete newbies (me) are regularly in attendance but I'm also many months to a year away from having enough money saved before I actually get started investing (buy and hold) and I don't know if I'd just be wasting people's time since I have no experience, no connections, and no money.

Am I just psyching myself out and someone in my shoes is totally welcome or would it best to keep learning by reading and getting more active on BP while I save, and then start going to meetings once I have some money to invest?

you are psyching yourself out for sure.  First step is the scariest.  Get in gear, my man.  No better way to get up to speed than to surround yourself with experience.

Ps. You can start with no money.  :)
