Visiting Cary North Carolina looking to meet up

hey Folks, I am visiting with my wife this weekend for memorial day weekend and would like to get to know the area. We are planning to move down there eventually from the fridged tundra in the north. I would love to meet up for some coffee with local investors or real estate agents who know the areas. I would like to get to know where the good investment areas are and where is good to live for when we move down. Or if anyone knows of good places for work that would be good too. I would love to join a real estate company if possible given my experience in property management and acquisition. I am also a pretty good programmer systems person.

anyways, would be great to meet you wonderful southern folks in Cary, Raleigh, chapel hill, durham in the triangle area.
