good time to get 1st property in Bay Area now?

I am thinking to get my first rental property as I am fed up paying for rents. So, since I am not sure when this pandemic is going to finish, I am a bit hesitant whether it is a good time to buy a property considering that my monthly payment including the tax write-off would be almost the same as my current rent.

Since I am not experienced, I would love to hear other folks' opinions and experiences to take the first step in BRRRR.
