Areas for BRRRR Strategy In Pittsburgh

Miki Sheinaizen
Posted

Hey everyone,

I'm a foreign investor looking to break into the Pittsburgh real estate market. My goal is to close my first deal by the end of 2024 and start the BRRRR strategy.

My strategy is to focus on single-family homes priced up to $150,000. I plan to make aggressive offers, 20-30% below market value, to appeal to motivated sellers.

I've been considering these areas:

  • Beechview
  • Brookline
  • Penn Hills
  • Troy Hill & Fineview

I'd love to hear your thoughts on these areas and get some more ideas for potential buy-and-hold properties.

Thanks!

Welcome. You might want to look up Ray Glymph on socials (Instagram). He does a lot of BRRRR, flip, and hold between Pittsburgh and West Virginia and will surely know the Pittsburgh markets you are considering.
