Carpet vs water proof laminate in bedroom

Hello. I’m remodeling a house for rental and I’m debating if replace all carpet for hardwood floor, even on rooms and closets. My concern is if it is a good idea to get rid off carpet, will it be appealing for renters in Texas. The house is built in 2001 and has a pool as well.
