Getting started in investing in RE

Hi everyone!

I'm a new agent in San Diego and new to investing as well. Anyone have any advice as a newer agent and investor on buying my first BRRRR property out of state?

Should I build a team first? Should I find the team first? What are some of the mistakes to avoid in finding the right property or building a solid team?

I do have a couple of hard money lenders and agent that I work with outside but I haven’t pull the trigger yet. I do have a full time job and use this opportunity to build more cash reserves.

Any advice would help!

Thank you.

It would definitely be a good idea to get your team together before you start making offers and get into a project. You'll want to have your agent, lender, and contractors who can help you. The biggest thing I've seen is having a good rehab team because you're not physically there to watch the project. That can make or break your BRRRR.
