Need an alternative to Stessa

I've been using Stessa to manage my real estate portfolio for several years now. I've had continuous problems with my account connections breaking...it's happening at least once a day. Now, Stessa just dumped all my transactions going back two years and I have to manually import them and recategorize everything.

I need something else, but is there another product out there that has the property profile capability?

Hey @Jordan Northrup check out Buildium, it may be a decent alternative and fit the bill for what you're looking for. Best of luck!

Have you reached out to Stessa via chat-box? It happened to me in the past and they corrected the issue. Their customer service is great. Also check hoah.live, they consolidate all HOA's info into a dashboard. It has helped me a lot, in case you own properties in HOA's communities.

@Jordan Northrup I have had the same issue, been trying to work with them to re-connect the account for 3 months now. But with the EOY right around the corner need something more reliable.

Any updates on how Buildium is working out?

I'm in the same boat, I've been happily using Stessa for a couple years and recently I'm having connection problems and they're not connecting with mortgage companies that are buying out my loans. I really like the all aspects of it as an investor with property managers for my properties, and it doesn't hurt that it's free since I'm not that big. Would love to hear if there are any new updates to Buildium, or any other products out there.

Would be curious if anyone made the switch to Buildium and how it is going? I am having the same connection issues with Stessa and they haven't been able to get it fixed.

I still have the same connection problem with Stessa. It's too bad, it used to keep me logged in with no problems.

They seem to be going through some changes. One of them is the addition of another aggregator, which solved one of my connections. The other one has probably only been connected 3-4 months of the last 2 years. It looked like the new aggregator worked initially, but now won't sync though fails to report there's a connection issue. I use Monarch for personal purposes, they use 3 aggregators, and I've had no problems staying connected to all my accounts. I've tried many other personal finance tools and consistently had problems staying connected, so they're the exception. This area of banking could do with some standards. For the most Service has been responsive, they're adding more functionality, though wish I could track maintenance/repair requests and service fees for rent, but the cash management is what's keeping me here for now. With rate changes happening, not sure how much longer that will be an advantage.
