Hello!

I am super new, and was curious whether you have 1 or multiple properties how do you keep up with everything? How do you collect rent? Do you use and app or a site? Does it keep more information stored like maitaiance, docs, ect. What do you like? Are some of these sites worth the cost or can free ones do just as much?

I only have 1 property so far which was our old house. I am wanting to grow and have more. This property is in a different state then I am located so the more that can be done through an application the better.

Thanks so much!

Hi @Alix Sigmundik. There are quite a few options out there, and really depends on your preferences (next day payments vs. multi-day payments, free vs paid, complexity vs. simplicity, etc).

Having a single property and just starting out I would recommend something that is simple but also has a level of complexity that allows you to grow with it. Buildium and Appfolio would do a fine job but you will have to pay for them and they typically have a higher initial learning curve. Cozy is simple but can take up to 5 business days to receive payments (unless you want to pay for express payouts). You may also find that Innago offers enough of your preferences to handle things for free!
