Wen and computer coding

Hey bp,

Way off topic here. I know that we have a ton of smart and successful people around these parts, so I think I'll find some great answers here.

I'm looking to learn how to wrote some code.... Sort of a hobby, sort of a back up plan. Without too much detail, I may be looking for a career change and maybe even a total restart in another state.

Right now, it's a hobby.

So are there any coders out there? How and where can I get started? I've found some stuff on line, not sure if it worth trying to learn on my own or not. Wondering if I should think about going to one of these coding boot camps.

Any help or guidance from some of you experienced coders would be great.

Matt
