DIY Property Management Database Website and App
[I have no affiliation with any of the products used here. I'm a tech savvy person that was looking for a barebones solution for property management with a good mobile app. ]
About Me: 24 year old from Bay Area, CA. I manage 25+ properties for myself, friends, family and real estate fund in Central CA and MI. I needed a tool to keep track of my properties and their respective owners and tenants.
If this helps you, you can connect with me and say thanks or see my currently seeking if we can work together.
Now to the good stuff!
I use AirTable for my database. It is free for up to 1200 records in one database. I've created a template here that you can copy onto your own account.
It has the following entities:
- Properties
- Owner
- Tenant
- Team Member
- Home Warranty
- Tasks
Entry Forms
With AirTable, you can create independent forms that will allow you to enter items in your database. This is great if you have employees but don't want to give full access to all your data.
Samples: Add Property, Add Owner, Add Tenant, Add Task ..
Mobile App
You can download the iOS/Android apps and directly view your database and enter things quickly!
How do you manage 25+ properties by yourself?
I have an incredible team of realtors and handymen. I use AirTable for my database, Wunderlist for tasks, Cozy for payments, and good ole' spreadsheets for tracking my finances.
