Advice on plumbing issue

Hi everyone! Novice investor here, currently own a SFH in Oklahoma and looking to buy in Troy (mostly because of availability of duplexes).

I'm currently under contract for a home, and during inspection we found a large leak into the basement - like full running water coming from a tap. Got a plumber to check it out, and it appears to be coming from the first floor bathtub. The plumbers recommend replacing the tub and shower head, and re-routing the drain. Based on the ceiling there it looks like something similar may be happening with the second floor bathtub too.

This house is a decent deal, but worried that this may turn into a money sink if the tub is removed and mold is found in the walls. But I haven't dealt with many plumbing issues before so maybe I'm overthinking this. Also, given the age of most homes around here I'm sure some plumbing issues are a given with most homes in the area, but I'm not sure if this is a big red flag or a small red flag.

Any thoughts?
