@Mike Alder

  you may want to look on E bay for used course material from any of the guru courses the information is all the same there is only so many ways to skin the RE cat  as it were.

I attended one of Armando Montelongos 4 day bus ride seminars... AS invited guests I am a HML and they need those for their students.. although I never did any deals with them.

But it was a well run intense event it starts at 8 in the morning and goes to 1 or 2 at night.

There were speakers on all sorts of subjects.. and a lot of getting into the nitty gritty like what to pay for a square of roofing,, and how to set up SDIRA's really many many subjects. Albeit it was a little bit of a carnival atmosphere..

And I think it feeds well into the American dream of learning a business that took many folks many years ( like me been at it 40 and still don't know it all) to learn it all in 4 or 5 days. I think many US potential investors need to look at themselves not blame the Guru courses, they need to look at what is reality and what is a dream.. and the dream of RE rich's can be achieved but like any industry there is an apprenticeship that goes along with it.  ITs the American I want it now attitude that created fast food same principal.

I know its not popular on BP as BP sentiment is " hey you can learn all you need here on this site for free) and or join a REIA but remember REIA are for profit now a days nothing its free there, but there is a limit to what you can learn on line.. sitting on your computer listening to podcast or reading threads is just not he same as being in room with 400 people that are networking.

 Like the meet up @?jmartin  is doing in CA this weekend many are flying in from all over the country .. many bought first class tickets are staying at the ST. Francis which is probably 300 to 500 a night so many are probably spending 2k to 3k for 2 days of networking... It cost money in this industry one way or the other.

So it really depends on what you want to get out of these coaching and training venues.

From my experience being there the folks that paid the 30k seemed very happy with what they did.. But as I sized them up based on my experience and talking with them over a glass of wine between seminars.. I could tell some would probably go on and make it work but like anything RE related Including and especially BP  many must fad away.
