New member in the Niagara region

Hi all,

I'd like to introduce myself; I'm a new member and new to real estate investing in general. I'm currently living in the Niagara region and am interested in the local market here. I am originally from Richmond Hill and am also interested in the GTA markets as I know the areas quite well.

I've read through many of the beginner guides & have been following the podcast for some time now. I'd like to start getting serious about investing in RE and posting here seems like a great place to start.

I am fairly busy with my main career/business so in general I'd like to be hands-off, but I don't have an issue with putting in some legwork up front. I'd like to look into multi-family properties as they seem most appealing to me, but I've also done some research into more hands-off models like syndicate groups or crowdfunding - does anyone have experience with these in Ontario?

Excited to get involved with the community here and grow/learn with you all

Welcome @Eric Mory

Starting here at BP and continuing your education of real estate investing are great steps in the process.

Multifamily is a great spot because you get the multiple streams of income, even if one unit isn't being rented.

Do you want to be fully passive in a syndication deal or do you want to be an operator?

Feel free to connect and happy to help in anyway possible.
