Tips for Buying in Seattle

Matthew Cullen
Posted

Hello,

Looking to buy a multifamily property in the greater Seattle area and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction in getting started in this space. I am a first time home buyer but will likely not need to go the FHA route, and have the money to get going on this now. Ideally I find a property to live in and rent out the other unit, and having the property eventually cash flow when I move out and repeat the process ( From my research so far this will likely be outside seattle?). I understand this post may be incredibly vague but any help/ direction would be appreciated.

Matthew Cullen if you are looking for rent to value ratios higher than 1% needed to cashflow then I would say to look outside primary markets where there is just too much money chasing deals.
