Wondering About "REIA of Washington"

Hey, all! I'm just getting started (and new to the area) and wanting to network, or at least, learn from the savvy investors in Washington. I saw that there's a REIA that meets in the Seattle area, but I haven't seen much in the way of people talking about it on here. Although, I admit that I haven't delved too far into the posts.

So, my question is: are there any BP members up in the area who actually attend these? Are their meetings any good? Or do they just try to sell?

Given the limited amount of time we all have on this planet, I think you'll be best served going to BP-originated/organized meetings. Look for Troy Fisher's group, Tarl Yarber, and anything that is Bigger Pockets-related/member-focused. REAPS is a dog and pony show from the 1980s, REIA WA had been ok for a bit until they started to sell shtuff. Their founders really push business memberships and they dont add value, IMHO.
