Hi !

I am new to investing and am in need of a mentor.coach for guidance. I am trying to figure out a system or flow of how to invest. Ive been studying wholesale as i was told to start off with. However i am ope to be taught any strategy that will help me develop my investing to be my vehicle to time and money freedom!

Thanks :)

@Kevin Phu - LOTS of peeps in our market are active investors.  We are closing on a new flip today - on the buy side.  Have two flips under contract to sell.  Still buying rentals, but only if they are super duper deals b/c we have met our goal for # of units and are working on paying them off now. You have several opportunities to meet investors during your visit.

Sept 19 7pm - Tidewater Real Estate Investors Group (TRIG)P meeting. Not sure if you will like the topic this month - it is pretty specialized on VA code - but we network before and after the meeting. Google for the website. BP doesn't like when we post them. Sometimes they delete the post.

Sept 25 7pm - Tidewater Real Estate Investors Group - How to maximize the # of rental properties with the minimal amount of $$$.

Oct 4 - Noon - Hampton Roads Landlord Assoc Lunch & Learn - We are talking about non-traditional rentals - air b&b, room rents, group homes, etc.

Oct 12 7pm - Peninsula Real Estate Investors Assoc (PREIA) - They generally announce their topics right before the meeting, but it is a great group of people and they always put on a good agenda.  It's worth the trip to the peninsula if you can make it.  I generally only venture over if I can find someone to carpool with, so if you decide to go, let me know.

Oct 17 7PM - TRIG meeting again.  I think we have a national speaker coming in to talk about raising private money, but don't quote me on that.  I see it's not on the website yet.

You can google all these groups to find the meeting locations.  PREIA and HRLA are both free and you  an just join them on the Meetup site to get meeting reminders. TRIG is on meetup too, but you have to be a paid member to get into the meetings for free.  They are only $20 for guests, so it is still way worth the price to attend if you are visiting from out of town.

Enjoy!!!
