Why are so many real estate investors choosing Columbia?

I'm new to the community and love it so far! I've noticed many investors are choosing Columbia as a real estate investment. I'm wondering why people are choosing Columbia? the fact that the citizens of Columbia are not satisfied with their government and the concerning lockdown measures they took seems like red flags for a long term real estate investment. Is there something I'm missing about Columbia besides the high yields and nice beaches?

This is a double thread and I already replied to Jacob on the other one.

@Stephen Brown

Totally. And you visited during Covid so it's even way more buzzing usually.
