Purchasing Empty land for flipping or commercial development

Hi there

      I am currently residing in Malaysia and interested in buying empty land for commercial development or for flipping.Do any one can share their experience on how should I analyse land deal and strategic location to buy for price appreciation?

Does empty land price undergoes boom and bust like property ? May I know what is the right time to buy?thank you
