Real Estate Investing

Hi All,

Newbie investor here, looking to get my foot in the door into Real Estate Investing (primarily Wholesaling) in the Austin area. I have always had the interest as a native Austinite and seeing the city grow, but just recently for the past year been getting serious after reading multiple books/listening to podcasts.

I am particularly interested in starting out Wholesaling to gain capital. Eventually I would like to leverage my Wholesaling with obtaining SFH's/duplexes and renting them out for cash flow (aim for acquiring 1 rental/year).

However I am having some trouble getting my foot in the door, maybe a little bit of information paralysis, and am looking for mentors/coaches to help me get started. Ideally we would partner on the first few deals, but I am not sure how it would work.

I went to the REIA Austin meetup last week so that would be an option, but am seeing if anyone else had any other suggestions. I would be able to be committed 100% as I am recently unemployed, luckfully with a decent emergency fund, and serious about trying this out.

Any information is appreciated and I welcome all feedback!

Thanks,
Ryan
