Subdivision and Land Development

Hi BP,

I work in mostly wholesale in Austin selling to flippers and developers. I'm interested in learning more about buying land and subdividing it into lots. I have poked around the city website, however the information is very dense and reading city code seems to be an inefficient use of time. Is there a better alternative? A newbie guide is helpful for understanding concepts, but I'm looking specifically to understand Austin. Any suggestions?

YUP  go buy an hour or two of time from either a

1. Land planning company in your city

2. a civil engineering  firm that works in your city and does resi work.

from what I hear Texas is one of the easier jurisdictions but that the city of Austin may be tougher than the rest of Texas.

Each county is different each city is different .

however bottom line is its a big dollar game long wait times hit the market right and you crush it.. take too long miss a market and it crushs you.
