I am looking to purchase my first home in Austin, TX. Does anyone recommend specific websites, referrals, etc to search for a real estate agent to help me out with this process?

Bryan, I was in a similar situation four years ago, when my wife and I sold a rental in Pleasanton and wanted to buy in the Austin area. We were lucky enough to be introduced to Robert Kauffman, an experienced agent who also is a landlord. Robert helped us buy three rentals in Cedar Park and Leander in a 1031 exchange from that Pleasanton rental, and he later helped us with two other purchases. I strongly recommend him.
