South Austin, Buda & Kyle Investors - Meeting_Mentor
I live in Buda and recently closed on a new home in Garlic Creek while renting my other in Downtown Buda. I'm looking to meet with people in the Buda area who want to discuss real estate or even better would be an experienced mentor. I'm 28 and only have 2 properties but am eager to learn and meet new people. It seems all the meetups are in North Austin so any help for this general area would be appreciated.

Hey Jason, thanks for the reply. I looked over your info and website and it seems you are staying very active. It would be great to get coffee sometime and discuss real estate in the area and some different strategies. I'm not sure of any real estate groups in the Buda area so it's always nice to meet people nearby.
Hi all, I have lived in Buda for a long time. Now I live in south Austin. I too have 2 rentals in Buda. I would like to join you guys and discuss real estate.

@Eric Barnett There is a meetup held once a month at the Grind house coffee shop in Kyle which serves Comal and Hays counties. I attended once and they were a great bunch of people. Highly recommend you check it out if you are looking to network with local investors.
Thanks Ramon I appreciate the input. I see you're from LH...I grew up there and man has it changed in the past 10 years.
I am busy this weekend but can likely meet up next week for coffee/lunch on Tuesday or Wednesday. There is a summermoon coffee house in Buda that's a good spot for meetings.

I live off Onion Creek just north of Buda. If you don't mind me jumping into your lunch meetup, I would be happy to also join in to discuss real estate. I currently own 4 rentals and I am always eager to talk to others about what they are doing.
My schedule is fairly flexible so whatever works best for the three of you. We should work to exchange emails to make scheduling easier. I'm not a pro member so not sure what the easiest way to do this would be aside from hacking it (e.g. barnett.eric10 @ gmail.com)

The Comal Hays REIA is having their meetup tomorrow @ 10am. Grind House Coffee shop. 109 W Center St Kyle, TX. I am hoping to be able to make it and see some of you guys there.
I want in! Right now I'm house hacking one, flipping the one across the street in Leisurewoods, have 1 house on the market in Onion Creek that was rehabbed and have 1 rental!!! Stayin busy! Lets talk!
Hello all! We have one rental in west Buda, two off boomtown south Manchaca Rd. I noticed Buda is getting more traffic than east Buda. Would like to brainstorm with anyone still meeting in Buda.
I am open as well to meeting in Buda. but it looks like someone will have to step up and make it happen. @Doug Watts, what is "house hacking"? I have seen that term a couple of times, but not sure what it is.

Could meet up at Nates next week to talk. I have one in downtown Buda about 1/4th a mile from Nates at the most and one in Garlic Creek. Western Buda will keep growing with 45 coming in (under construction). Hard to find homes that would cash flow, mostly breaking even and relying on area to grow but I'm unsure if it'll jump up to Leander/Cedar Park prices anytime soon...
@Ramon Cuevas can you post the link for the meetup in Comal/Hays. Sorry fellas been traveling for work but still interested in setting up something in Buda for that area and possibly even up Manchaca near South Park Meadows.
@Doug Watts good find in leisurewoods, looking to do a live in flip there when I can move out of mine in Garlic in 6 months.

"House hacking" is just another term for a live in flip. basically, something that most ppl do without even realizing it, but its not that hard with the rate of appreciation around here! I guess it just depends on how fast youre willing to relocate over and over.
I'm free 9:30-2p next week. The flexibility is great when working from home. 👍
Factoring in some of your schedules and trying to accommodate as much as possible I was thinking we start out by meeting at Nate's (Old Grain Mill in Buda) on Tuesday, April 18th at 6:30PM. Should be easy to grab an outside table with a small group and we can then talk about creating a meetup and the next steps. Feel free to direct message me for information or my number so we can see if this will work out for a few of us to start. Look forward to meeting others in the area!

Okay we can think on it some more and decide a good time. I will know my schedule a bit better in a few days and can suggest a new time. Currently thinking noon on Thursday, April 20th.
