First Investment in Pittsburgh

Posted

Hey everyone!

I'm new to BP and a new investor. I currently live in South Florida but grew up in Pittsburgh and still have family/friends there (and am actually coming up to Pittsburgh this weekend for the next two weeks). My partner and I are looking to buy our first investment property back in the Pittsburgh area due to the crazy expensive South Florida market. Does anyone have any recommendations for how to build our network as newbie investors investing out of state (but also in an area we know somewhat well)? We are looking to invest in rental properties to start (preferably small multi-family, but also open to the right single family).

Thanks,

Michael

Hey Michael! Glad to hear you are looking at investing back in your hometown! Inventory is definitely rising from where we were a year ago, so there are lots of options for both SFH and small multi. Generally, we see small multi units cash flow a little better than single family units but there are advantages to SFH as well. Feel free to reach out with any questions! Best of luck
