Shawnee, OK rental properties. To be or not to be? That is the q.

Is Shawnee a good market to have rentals? It has a few manufacturing facilities and a college but overall it seems like not a lot is happening there and it is fairly depressing. I have done deals all over OKC metro but haven't ventured out to the heart of Shawnee and really would love some feedback on whether it is a smart venture.

I invest there and run a meet up there every month, with a good attendance of local landlords.  It definitely has grown over the last decade.  I don't agree with your statement of "fairly depressing".  Feel free to reach out to me if you have further questions.
