Just invest apartment building on the east side of Cincinnati.

Still learning the market now, just wonder what is the trend of the west side?Especially the westwood neighborhood?

Anyone in Cincinnati activities are welcome to the add inputs, thank you.

If you got an apartment on the East side, kudos, generically speaking, that should be a winner.

Stereotypically, East Side = White Collar, West Side = Working class.  Of course, you'll find all sorts of folks in both areas. You will find more multi-family opportunities on the west side of town.  Most East Side areas are no worse than B-grade, while you can go as low as D-grade on the other side of town, so be careful.

As for Westwood, there is no shortage of properties to acquire here. In fact, there is a ton, especially SFR. Tough part is, quality of building/tenant can vary from one side of the street to the other. Due to the sheer amount of investment opportunity, there is underground murmurs that in years to come, Westwood could become the next "hot spot" for young, hipster buyers. Also, as is the case with rentals throughout the city, you shouldn't have any problems with vacancies, despite an abundance of rental properties.

If Westwood is the route you go, get a property mgr that you can trust, and look for value add, because you can buy CHEAP.
