New Investor in The Queen City
Hello Everyone,
My Name is Joshua, I am a new Real Estate Investor to the Charlotte, NC market. I have been learning this craft for about a year and I feel like I'm ready to pull the trigger on my first dealIf you feel compelled to reach out to me drop a comment down below with your tips. My Niche is Single Family and Small Multifamily, but I'm always open to opportunity. The Charlotte market is pretty tough, so I'm looking to branch out to the surrounding suburbs as well. Please feel free to drop me any pointers you may have.
Thanks Everyone

Hey Joshua. I don't yet own any properties in the Charlotte area, but I do own a single family rental in Fayetteville as well as a duplex in Tacoma, WA (also a competitive market). I highly recommend getting good at analyzing markets and taking a look at the secondary markets around Charlotte (Gastonia, Concord, Albemarle, Rock Hill, etc.). They'll experience growth as Charlotte grows.
Also, if you're open to it, house hacking is a great way to get a single family or small multifamily in an expensive market. You'd technically have to live there for a year, but you can secure great financing with low money down and have a cash flowing property when you move out.
