Kansas City real estate market remains hot

The data below is from the Kansas City Association of Realtors for Johnson County, MO. It shows that the Kansas City real estate market continues to be hot through May. Inventory remains low and prices continue to rise.

Median home prices were up 23.4%% in May year on year. Pending sales were up 16.0% and inventory is down 49%. Sellers received 104% of asking price. Click on the table below to enlarge.

    Yes mike it also remains hot on the multifamily front as well. Rent has also risen 7% YOY for a 2 bedroom apartment according to Zumper for Kansas City. I still believe when looking at other markets that see similar growth that KC is positioned well for a midwest city. Steady Eddy and on the rise.
