Concerns to invest properties in Kansas while live in Missourie

Anyone would know if we should have main concerns to invest properties in KC Kansas but live in KC Missourie in terms of taxes? The main concerns are if this would cause dramatic tax increases while live in MO and invest in KS. Seems Kansas State side would have more chances to get investment properties like duplexes. 

Any information and/or experience would be greatly appreciated.
