Missouri side or Kansas?
Hi all, I'm one of the presumably many that have looked and looked but have yet to pull the trigger. I've spoken with a couple investors in the past and the feeling I got was that laws are more favorable towards landlords in Kansas than in Missouri. Would you agree?
I also found this article that says Wyandotte county is the #6 place to be a landlord. That link is strictly "by the numbers" though. Should I be looking in that area for the combination of ability to make profit and favorable landlord laws?

If you ever want to talk about KCK I'm up for it. I've been there about 10 years now and have had a good run. From my own experience in KCK I'm fairly confident the laws are fair and reasonable on the KS side and less so in MO.
I've seen it stated that MO is more favorable. Talk to landlords who've had to evict and you'll make up your own mind. Also, take a look at the landlord tenant act documents for both states and you'll start to get an idea how the two sides operate.
I'm not sure about the insurance differences between the two but would imagine they're similar. KCMO, as I assume you know, is much larger than KCK. I think there is more to choose from there but the problems also seem to grow on a larger scale as well
Just my two cents.
