What size bank is too small/big?

Hi all! I am going to begin my note investing business next year and am looking to build relationships with smaller banks. My husband and I will be buying a dental practice plus buying a home next year, so hopefully that will kick start a relationship with them. My question is, what size of a smaller bank is too big to establish a note relationship with? Some of the banks we are looking at have as few as 1 branch, and some as many as 230. What has been your experience? Thank you!

I use good size regional banks -Synovus and SunTrust. They are small enough to pay some attention to you but offer ACH and Intl. wires. Interview a few to see who WANTS your business. I would stay away from B of A, Citi, and Chase. Good for credit cards but other than that way too big.
