What Daily Planner System Do You Use for Your Note Business?

Question

I use the Grant Cardone 10X Planner daily but wanted to understand what everyone else uses.

I schedule my next day at the end of each day. It doubles as a journal for me and makes me feel like I have structure and control over my day.  Truly covers all the aspects that are important to me. I've made some tweaks to the sections. For the TARGET section, I use this to express who I'm looking to serve for the day. My day is all about service in my mind and I look to serve as many people as I can. However, as the ever beautiful Jim Rohn would say, "talk about things that matter to people who care". I've learned to stay clear of people who ‘don't care’ by using this section because I think about who I'm serving and why each day.

Great topic and really timely,  I had to purchase a new day planner last week which is very basic and was wanting something with a little more substance.  For the past year I used a simple day calendar (old school handwritten analog)  which I used to prioritize task I wanted to complete each day along with time blocking them and having satisfaction of checking them off.  Or scribbling them out depending how difficult the task was..

Writing in the day planner is only part of my morning routine,  which is modified version of miracle morning with Tim Ferriss and Gary Keller One Thing influence.  Spend time in meditation/prayer,  reading, affirmation, exercise (done before 8:00 or my day is just off),  journal three things I am grateful for, 3 things that would make today great, this also acts as a journal.    Document The One thing I have to work on that day,  which is logged in daily planner along with 2-3 other prioritized tasks in day planner.

Also track top 3-5 goals for the week, and each Sunday evaluate what my accomplishments and disappointments were for the week and document what commitments I can make to ensure I improve next week.   Which is interesting to read back over time to see your recurring flaws and why some tasks you end up kicking the can down the proverbial timeline.

Needing to checkout out the 10x and Intentional Journal from BP,  I heard this one mentioned on a few BP podcasts.

For project management systems to keep track of notes, I use combination of Podio, One Note, OneDrive, Google Drive and Google docs... have migrated from using actual micosoft Project for tracking and still needing some refining in this area.

I use Trello. I like it because its easy to go back and forth between what I'm doing to day and then the longer term stuff.

Hi @Martin Saenz, this is great. I don't do note investing (yet), but I use the BP Intentional Journal. I've only done it this year and it has been awesome for me to continue to move my real estate investing forward. I love how you have the section for service - I need to add that to mine.

I use yanado right now integrated with my gmail account for day to day tasks. Overall note management I use several programs and it has gotten to Sophisticated so I am switching over my loan management to loan management software due to my companies growth (I know you have had a great year to with building relationships and finding assets too).

Whatever system you use, just keep it simple and not over complicate things.

I work out of Dropbox, Folders and off of Excel Spreadsheets.   My Dropbox Folders are shared with my Clients, my Accountant and my Quickbooks Assistant.

I put all bank statements, servicing statements and bank tracking sheets in Dropbox Folders shared with my Accountant and Quickbooks Assistant, so they can access it in real time.

Every Client has their own Folder System.  Each Asset has it's own Folder and Excel Spreadsheet, that tracks everything with that Asset.

Once a month I backup my Dropbox Account onto a portable drive.

I have about 10 main Excel Spreadsheets that track my whole world.   Everything becomes a PDF, I can access anything in my world, in about 10 to 15 seconds.   Everything is labeled real clear.

I work out of my Gmail Email Account and Gmail Calender.  I utilize my Email Inbox and Email Labels (which are Folders). I use a whiteboard and good old fashion yellow sticky notes.

I've managed over 1,000 Assets in my System.

My World is in a Folder.  I can access my Dropbox Folder on my Computer and Phone. It works real well for what I do.

For my tasks, I use "Things" in Mac OS and iOS. I try to stay diligent about placing just what really needs to be done on a certain day in the "Today" bucket or I lose focus and nothing gets done.

For managing assets, opportunities, and some of my marketing, I use Filemaker Pro. I was on Podio but moved to Filemaker for several reasons - the biggest of which is how important user interface is to me. With Podio, you get what you get in that department.

Nice use for an Excel type system since so much of the industry runs off of it.  It seems you can tie in all the DD work with the workout work (assuming you do workouts).  I use Podio as it ties in my CRM and Borrower Relations Management system nicely.  Appreciate your thoughts.  Always looking to learn.

@Martin Saenz Not sure, I haven't used the 10X one. This is my first year journaling with the BP one and I've enjoyed it's impact. I do find myself with more MINS (Minimum Important Next Step) each day on a particular goal that would be better suited to a task list like those mentioned above instead of in a journal, but nonetheless, it still prompts me to write it down, which has been helpful!
