Good tax Liens Courses

Sanjiv Akhand
Posted

Hello- I’m looking to explore tax liens investing. Any suggestion on how to get started? Any good courses? I received a free crash course invitation from US Tax Lien Association. I’m guessing that they would probably want me to buy their full course after the initial free course.

Don't buy any course!

We (The BP community) have already answered most questions in the forums. Read these and then ask any questions here.

Also go down to your local Delinquent Tax Office and pick their brain. Maybe they have a handout they can give you.

What State are you in or what state do you intend to buy Tax Liens? Laws are similar in most states but are still different from state to state.

You can get used paperback on the subject from the Amazon bookstore. This is how I got started. None seemed exactly the same as my state of SC but they gave me enough information so that I could find out what is different for my state.

Do some of this and I can give you generic information or specific info for SC over the phone after you have done some research.

If you get the chance go to a local tax sale auction and try and find someone to take to lunch that is buying a bunch of liens.

Just don't pay for buy any high priced course for what is readily available elsewhere.
