Tax Deed and Payment Arrangements

I am looking at purchasing tax liens in Harris/ Fort Bend County and wanted to get a bit of information.

Let say I purchase a tax deed on a homestead property in June and the homeowner then makes payment arrangements with the county to pay the back taxes. Does the payment on the back taxes get sent to me as paid on a monthly basis or does the county wait until the entire debt is paid then cut me a check for the debt plus interest?

Is this the same for non-homestead properties?

Thanks Ali
