Ran across a file for a $5k lot that was sold at tax deed sale this year, but had  9 year old federal forfeiture lien.

Anyone have experience with this?  Would Federal Forfeiture Lien Survives this long and a tax deed sale to still encumber the land?

Tough one I'd like to hear your guys' thoughts on.

You need to provide more information... such as the type of federal (criminal? provide statute) lien, recording dates as well as the dates of the relevant RE taxes which were the subject of the tax deed sale. You may even need to pull the tax sale docket, including complaint and notice to interested parties, to figure this one out.
