What are "systems" for Notes?

So, I am new to notes but I see all of the time people say, "notes are good with the right systems in place".

What are these systems, what do they do, what should I be putting in place? I was in a notes workshop recently and there was another note investor who had been doing notes for a while say, "I'm only taking this workshop to learn the systems".

I was curious then, but didn't ask. Now that I am close to closing my first note and made a couple of partnerships, I'm wondering what are the "systems" that need to be in place?
