Newbie Interested In Buying Notes

Hi BP friends,

I am highly interested in getting into buying notes. I have read a lot of material (mostly from Dave Van Horn) and was wondering if there was any other information sources you could recommend. Mostly I'm looking for information on how to tell if it's a good deal (performing the calculations) and due diligence on the borrower. I'm leaning more toward buying non performing notes. 1st or 2nd is still up in the air since there are pros and cons to each. Any advice on ANY aspect of notes would be greatly appreciated!

if you're getting into note buying, I would work with performing notes first before tackleing non-performing. One is a passive business and the other can be a full time business
