best way to get started - from a total "noob"

I'm interested in knowing more about "flipping notes".  Any advice?  I just saw a webinar that sold some great hype.  Easy peasy... Finds Note Sellers, broker referral fee, find Note sellers ( in they're vast network of note sellers ).

I know it's dumb.  let's just chalk it up to part of research, knowledge, etc...

Is this a profitable aspect of real estate investing?  What would be the best way to get started?

Thanks to all the members that moderate and offer their insight and advice.  It is truly appreciated.
