Note Investing
I have been in the note business for a short time but have not had much success at this time. I would like to connect with someone who is in the business and talk about the business. Please email me at [email protected] if you would like to connect.

What does it mean to not have success?
You have not been able to acquire notes?
You have not been able to disposition the notes you acquired?
You didn't make any gains on the notes you dispositioned?
- If you haven't been able to acquire any notes there is a problem with your bid and perhaps who you are bidding to purchase from. From what we see, the issue tends to be the former - the newbie bid is not good enough. (it's not all 10 cents on the dollar as commonly mentioned)
- If you have acquired notes and have failed to disposition them, why? Did you fail to set aside the proper amount of capital to disposition the note? We have seen this very often, I like to call it a race to the bottom. Buy the loan and hope you can disposition the asset by spending little to no money. That is simply a disaster waiting to happen.
- If you acquired a note or more and you have failed to make gains then you will need to look to your bid and your expenses and make some adjustments in your bid (lower it). Provided, you are not over paying and trying to race to the bottom and spend no money on collection and remedies. In other words, profitability is set, to some degree, at purchase, with a proper purchase price and a reasonable expectation and reserve to make the required advances on the account to protect your interest and enforce the loan.
If you want to have a serious conversation, I would presume the forum is better than a private chat as you will get some other's input.
