Baltimore Rental License for Multi-unit Properties

Hello All, 

I am considering buying a 4-6 multi-unit property in Baltimore and I'm having difficulty finding the answer to this question. Let's say half the units need rehab but the other half are rent-ready. Must all units be rent-ready in order to obtain license or could I obtain individual licenses for the units that are rent-ready while I rehab the others? Any supporting documentation would be greatly appreciated.

@Derrick Jones I don't "Know" the answer but I am pretty sure I am right. You must register all units, however only the ones that are in rent-able condition need to be inspected. The others "are not available fore rent". This is for Baltimore city registration.

For Maryland lead paint registration you should only need a lead cert and registration for units available for rent.

However in Both cases the common areas would need to pass inspections.

I would check with Neil Roseman of LeadProbe about the lead paint requirements for multi family.  Neil is a very smart guy and who I use for lead inspections.
