Baltimore section 8 help
Hi All,
I have a section 8 property where the tenant recently passed away. Will her son who lives there (around late 20's) receive the voucher. He said he talk to someone at housing and housing said they can only stay there for 6 more months then they have to pay out of pocket.
Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks

We had a voucher holder pass away a few months ago in Baltimore City. The voucher was transferred to the spouse. Not sure if the same will apply to an adult child. I would think if the son was on the lease and section was aware that he was living there that there may be a chance it would be passed on to him but it doesn't sound likely. They already told him that is was good for another 6 months.
