Adding 2nd Unit: Zoning

Looking to make an offer on a house on Monday. It has an addition on the back that I could easily make into a studio apartment for additional rent. Looking at the Kansas City, KS country site and I'm wondering how to tell if it's zoned for such a thing.

What should I look for? Where should I look for it other than the county website?

Thank you in advance!

@Michael Glaser As @Donovan Castaneda said, the KCK/Wyandotte County site is the place to find this. First enter the street number and name here:

    http://appr.wycokck.org/appraisal/publicaccess/Pro...

...and click on the correct record. The next page gives you the zoning halfway down. Then go to the Urban Planning and Land Use department here:

    https://www.wycokck.org/planning/

Click "Zoning Information" - last link at the bottom - and click on the appropriate district. There's a PDF explaining each zoning designation.

    Best of luck!
